The Isolated Young Persons’ Project (IYPP) aims to improve access for more young people, aged from 11 to 25 years,
to computers and other new technology. Phab is a federation of
organisations that covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to bring

isolated young people to be confident using computer facilities that already
exist in their communities. Establish ‘Cybercentres’ as a meeting place for
friends from near home and across the wide world. How will we achieve this
? Will need to make links with: Young
people who want to use and help shape our new technology and Organisations
who work with young people or new technology in any way. If

All this PC / Computer / Communications technology is really about making contact with other people and sharing ideas to make new things happen. The project works all over the UK to help young people who might be isolated because of where they live or a disability, to get to use Computers. This could be using a PC for ‘just’ e-mail or chatrooms, surfing the internet, gathering information and playing games, either individually or across the world with on-line gaming.
